First Nations Music List

First Nations Music List is a curated collection of deadly songs by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, created to help young people listen to, learn from and connect with First Nations perspectives through music.

The list includes 44 songs, each with a short blurb about the artist and/or song. A QR code is also included, linking directly to a ready-made Spotify playlist so songs can be accessed easily.

This resource can be used in classrooms, libraries, homes and homeschool learning spaces. Songs can be explored as part of learning about how First Nations people share culture, stories, language, identity and experiences through music, or these songs can be enjoyed as background music during classroom activities and school events.

Whether used for music appreciation, classroom discussion, community event or everyday listening, First Nations Music List helps make First Nations music more visible, accessible and celebrated.
