Featured Session:
Beyond a Single Lesson: Weaving First Nations Stories Across the Curriculum
A First Nations story is like a strong woven basket, holding knowledge as old as time — but how do you know which stories are appropriate to share, and how can you carefully unpack all that they hold?
First presented at the inaugural National First Nations Education Conference 2026 in Brisbane, this practical and thought-provoking workshop by Jordyn Green and Gemma Pol helps educators explore First Nations stories more deeply, respectfully and meaningfully.
With Jordyn’s knowledge and experience as an Aboriginal educator and First Nations Education leader, and Gemma’s knowledge and experience within the First Nations storytelling space as CEO of Common Ground First Nations, the workshop brings together cultural protocol, education and storytelling in a way that is both thoughtful and highly relevant to classroom practice.
The session can be delivered in person or online, as a presentation for larger conference audiences or a more interactive workshop for smaller groups.

Have something else in mind?

Share as much or as little as you know at this stage. Jordyn is happy to yarn about what you have in mind, what your audience needs and what might be possible.
If it’s something Jordyn is able to support, the next steps can be worked out from there.
